Which flooring is best for kitchens and bathrooms?
Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and waterproof laminate flooring are among the best choices for kitchens and bathrooms due to their water-resistant properties and durability. Many modern click vinyl floors are 100% waterproof and ideal for busy family homes.
What is the difference between laminate flooring and LVT?
Laminate flooring features a high-density fibreboard core with a realistic wood-effect surface, while LVT flooring is made from vinyl materials and offers enhanced waterproof protection and softer underfoot comfort.
Laminate is often more cost-effective, while LVT is generally quieter and more moisture resistant.
Is laminate flooring waterproof?
Not all laminate flooring is waterproof, but many modern ranges offer water-resistant or waterproof technology. Collections such as Quick-Step Impressive and Quick-Step Capture provide advanced splash-resistant protection suitable for kitchens and family spaces.
What is herringbone flooring?
Herringbone flooring is a parquet-style installation pattern where boards are laid in a zig-zag formation to create a luxurious and timeless appearance. Herringbone designs are available in laminate, LVT, and engineered wood flooring.
Samples & Ordering
Can I order free flooring samples?
Yes. Many products on our website include a free sample option so you can compare colours, textures, and finishes at home before placing a full order.
How do I calculate how much flooring I need?
Measure the length and width of your room in metres and multiply them together to calculate the square metre area (m²). We normally recommend adding an extra 10% for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Do your prices include VAT?
Yes. All prices shown on our website include VAT unless otherwise stated.
Can I order flooring online?
Yes. You can safely order flooring online through our secure checkout system. We supply flooring throughout the UK with nationwide delivery available.
Delivery Questions
Do you offer free delivery?
Yes. We offer free delivery on qualifying orders across many areas of the UK. Delivery thresholds may vary depending on the product range and delivery postcode.
How long does delivery take?
Most flooring orders are delivered within a few working days, although delivery times can vary depending on stock availability, manufacturer lead times, and location.
Can flooring be delivered to commercial addresses?
Yes. We regularly deliver to homes, offices, retail stores, builders, contractors, and commercial projects throughout the UK.
Should I check my flooring when it arrives?
Yes. We always recommend checking your flooring upon delivery to ensure there is no visible damage before installation begins.
Installation Questions
Can I install flooring myself?
Many click flooring products are designed for DIY installation, particularly laminate flooring and click vinyl flooring. However, for the best finish, professional installation is always recommended.
Do I need underlay?
Most laminate and engineered wood floors require underlay. Some LVT products already include a built-in underlay layer. Underlay helps improve comfort, sound reduction, and floor stability.
Can flooring be installed over underfloor heating?
Many flooring products are compatible with underfloor heating systems. Always check the product specifications before installation.
Should kitchen units go on top of flooring?
In most cases, floating click flooring should not be trapped underneath fixed kitchen units because the floor requires expansion space.
Why are some flooring boards shorter than others?
Some engineered wood and laminate flooring packs include shorter boards to help create a more natural staggered floor layout during installation.
Cleaning & Maintenance
How do I clean laminate flooring?
Use a soft brush or vacuum regularly and clean with a lightly damp microfibre mop. Avoid excessive water and harsh cleaning chemicals.
Can I use a steam mop on flooring?
We do not recommend steam mops on laminate, engineered wood, or many vinyl floors, as excessive heat and moisture may damage the flooring over time.
How do I protect flooring from furniture?
Use felt pads underneath furniture legs and avoid dragging heavy furniture across the floor surface. Rugs and protective mats can also help reduce wear in high-traffic areas.
Is flooring suitable for pets and children?
Yes. Many modern laminate and vinyl floors are highly scratch resistant, easy to clean, and suitable for busy family homes with pets and children.

Do you offer finance options?
Yes. Finance options are available on selected orders, subject to status and approval.
What is your returns policy?
Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details regarding returns eligibility, timeframes, and conditions.
