This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Floor Land Ltd delivers flooring, accessories, carpets and samples throughout the United Kingdom and to other locations where delivery is available.
Please read this Policy together with our Terms and Conditions of Sale and Returns & Refunds Policy.
1. Delivery Charges
1.1 Standard Pallet Delivery
Our standard pallet delivery charge is £49.99.
Qualifying Orders over £750.00 receive FREE standard delivery, subject to the delivery address, Goods ordered and any applicable remote-area or specialist delivery charges.
1.2 Small Orders
Orders valued at £499.00 or less may incur a delivery charge of £69.99 due to the higher cost of transporting low-volume pallet consignments.
Any applicable delivery charge will be shown at checkout or otherwise communicated to you before your Order is accepted.
1.3 Tube and Long-Length Deliveries
Scotia, flooring profiles, skirting boards and certain other long accessories may require specialist tube or long-length delivery.
Our standard outbound delivery charge for these consignments is £25.00.
1.4 Large Plank and Wood Flooring
Certain products require oversized pallets because of their dimensions. These may include:
- engineered wood flooring;
- solid wood flooring;
- extra-long laminate flooring; and
- extra-long luxury vinyl flooring.
These products may incur a delivery charge of £79.99 per pallet.
Any additional delivery charge will be displayed at checkout or communicated to you before your Order is accepted.
2. Standard UK Delivery Areas
Most flooring Orders to standard UK delivery areas are delivered within approximately 1–3 working days, subject to stock availability, supplier availability and carrier schedules.
Delivery times are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed delivery date with you.
Where a particular delivery date is essential, please contact us before placing your Order so that we can confirm whether your requirements can be accommodated.
3. Remote and Extended Delivery Areas
Additional delivery charges and longer delivery times may apply to areas classified by our carriers as remote, extended or offshore.
These may include:
- Scottish Highlands;
- Scottish Islands;
- Northern Ireland;
- Isle of Wight;
- Isle of Man;
- Channel Islands; and
- other remote or extended delivery areas.
Please contact us before ordering if your delivery address falls within one of these areas so that we can provide an appropriate delivery quotation.
Delivery to remote and extended areas will typically take approximately 3–5 working days, although this may vary.
In some locations, the cost of specialist carriage can be substantial. Where we are unable to fulfil an Order at the delivery price originally calculated, we will contact you before dispatch to explain the available options.
You will not be required to accept an additional delivery charge that was not agreed as part of the Contract. Where we cannot fulfil the Order on the agreed terms, an appropriate refund will be provided.
4. Republic of Ireland and International Deliveries
Delivery outside the United Kingdom is subject to availability and must be confirmed by Floor Land.
The Republic of Ireland is treated as an international destination.
International delivery charges, delivery times and availability vary according to destination, product dimensions, weight and carrier requirements.
Additional customs, import, tax or administrative requirements may also apply depending upon the destination.
Where international delivery is available, the applicable delivery arrangements and charges will be communicated before the Order is accepted where required.
5. Delivery Times
We work to deliver Orders as quickly as reasonably possible.
Typical delivery times are:
Standard UK delivery areas: approximately 1–3 working days
Remote and extended areas: approximately 3–5 working days
Carpet deliveries: approximately 3–5 working days
These times are estimates and may be affected by stock availability, supplier location, carrier schedules, severe weather, road closures, industrial action and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in this section affects a Consumer's statutory rights concerning delivery.
6. Choosing a Delivery Day
Where our delivery service allows you to select or agree a delivery day, deliveries will normally take place between approximately 8:00am and 6:00pm.
A requested or selected delivery day is not guaranteed unless we have expressly confirmed that it is guaranteed.
Where available, we may provide an estimated delivery window. Any delivery window supplied by a carrier is an estimate and may change because of traffic, route changes or other circumstances affecting the delivery vehicle.
7. Order Tracking
Most flooring Orders are transported by specialist pallet or flooring haulage companies rather than ordinary parcel couriers.
Live GPS-style tracking is therefore not available for every Order.
Where available, we will:
- send confirmation before or following dispatch;
- provide your expected delivery date; and
- provide an estimated delivery window where supplied by the carrier.
If you require an estimated arrival time on the scheduled delivery day, please contact us before 9:00am and we will provide any information available to us.
8. Kerbside Delivery
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, flooring and pallet deliveries are made kerbside only.
The driver will deliver the Goods to the nearest safe and reasonably accessible point to the delivery address.
Drivers are not normally required to:
- carry flooring inside your property;
- carry Goods upstairs;
- move Goods into individual rooms;
- carry Goods through gardens or passageways;
- place Goods inside garages or outbuildings; or
- unpack or install Goods.
You are responsible for arranging sufficient assistance to move the Goods safely from the delivery point into your property.
9. Delivery Vehicle Access
Flooring may be delivered using commercial vehicles ranging from vans to large HGVs, including vehicles of approximately 18 tonnes.
You must inform us before dispatch if there are any circumstances that could materially affect delivery, including:
- narrow roads;
- restricted access;
- low bridges;
- weight restrictions;
- steep or unsuitable roads or driveways;
- parking restrictions;
- private or unadopted roads;
- gated access; or
- any other known access difficulty.
Where a delivery fails because we were not informed of a known material access restriction, reasonable redelivery or additional carrier charges may apply.
10. Pallet Deliveries
Most flooring Orders are transported on wooden pallets to protect the Goods during transit.
Unless otherwise agreed, pallets are left at the delivery address following delivery.
Floor Land and its carriers do not normally return to collect empty pallets.
You are therefore responsible for the appropriate reuse, recycling or disposal of the pallet after delivery.
11. Tube and Long-Length Deliveries
Scotia, profiles, skirting boards and other long accessories may be transported separately from the flooring using specialist tube or long-length carriers.
This means that accessories and flooring forming part of the same Order may arrive in separate deliveries.
Please inspect long-length packaging for visible transit damage before opening it where reasonably practicable.
12. Carpet Deliveries
Please allow approximately 3–5 working days for carpet deliveries.
Because carpet rolls are large and heavy, specialist handling may be required and certain deliveries may be made using a two-person delivery service.
Delivery arrangements may vary according to the size of the carpet, delivery address and carrier.
13. Local Delivery Service
Customers located within approximately 30 miles of our Warrington premises may be eligible for our local delivery service.
Our current local delivery charges are:
Orders under £500 – £40
Orders over £500 – FREE local delivery
Eligibility depends upon the delivery address and Goods ordered.
Please contact us if you would like us to confirm whether your address qualifies.
14. Sample Deliveries
We encourage customers to obtain samples before purchasing flooring where colour, shade, grain or texture is important.
Our current sample delivery charges are:
Hard flooring samples – £3.99
Carpet samples – £1.99
Samples which are in stock are normally dispatched within approximately 24 hours and are generally sent using Royal Mail 2nd Class or an equivalent service.
Typical delivery is approximately 2–3 working days after dispatch, but this is not guaranteed.
15. Missed and Failed Deliveries
Please ensure that somebody is available to accept the Goods where attendance is required.
If delivery cannot be completed because:
- nobody is available to receive the Goods;
- delivery is refused without lawful reason;
- materially incorrect delivery information has been supplied;
- the delivery address cannot safely be accessed because of a known restriction which was not disclosed to us; or
- appropriate arrangements have not been made to receive the Goods,
we may recover the reasonable additional carrier, storage or redelivery costs actually incurred, where permitted by law.
We will inform you of the applicable redelivery or additional charge before arranging another delivery where reasonably practicable.
16. Checking Your Delivery
You should inspect the external condition of the Goods and packaging upon delivery where reasonably practicable.
Please check:
- the number of packs or items delivered;
- the product supplied;
- the external condition of the packaging; and
- whether there is any obvious transit damage.
Where visible damage is present, please note this on the carrier's delivery documentation where possible and take photographs.
You should inspect the Goods fully as soon as reasonably practicable following delivery.
17. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods
If Goods are damaged, missing or incorrectly supplied, please contact Floor Land as soon as reasonably possible.
We ask that visible transit damage is reported within 48 hours where possible, as this assists us in investigating the matter promptly with the carrier.
Failure to notify us within 48 hours does not remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have.
If flooring appears visibly damaged, defective or incorrect, you should not knowingly install it. Please contact us before proceeding.
18. Before Booking Your Installer
We strongly recommend that you do not book or commit to an installer until your Goods have been delivered and reasonably inspected.
Delivery dates and times may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, Floor Land will not be responsible for avoidable fitting charges or installer waiting costs incurred because installation was arranged before the Goods had been delivered and reasonably checked.
Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Wood Flooring Acclimatisation
Engineered wood and solid wood flooring may require acclimatisation before installation.
You should follow the relevant manufacturer's instructions concerning storage, acclimatisation, room temperature, humidity, subfloor preparation and installation conditions.
Do not assume that flooring can be installed immediately after delivery.
If you are uncertain about the manufacturer's requirements, please contact us before installation.
20. Return Carriage Costs
Flooring and long-length flooring accessories cannot normally be returned using ordinary postal services.
If you exercise a qualifying change-of-mind cancellation right, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the Goods where applicable and where you have been informed of that responsibility as required by law.
As a guide:
Standard UK pallet returns: up to £120.00 per pallet
Standard UK tube or long-length returns: up to £40.00 per consignment
Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland and other remote or extended areas: specialist return carriage may cost approximately £200–£450.00 per consignment.
International return carriage may cost substantially more and may need to be arranged directly by the customer.
These figures are estimates of return carriage costs and are not cancellation or administration fees.
Full details, including the treatment of faulty or incorrectly supplied Goods, are contained in our Returns & Refunds Policy. The full Returns Policy explains these same cost estimates and the circumstances in which the customer bears the direct cost of return.
21. Delays Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include severe weather, road closures, traffic disruption, industrial action, carrier disruption, supplier or manufacturer delays, national emergencies or other events which could not reasonably have been avoided.
Where a delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to minimise its effect and keep you informed where appropriate.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory right you may have where delivery is substantially delayed or a legally applicable delivery deadline is missed.

Returns
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This Returns & Refunds Policy explains the arrangements applying to cancellations, returns and refunds for Goods purchased from Floor Land Ltd. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or otherwise affects any statutory right or remedy which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
1. Your Right to Cancel
1.1 If you are a Consumer and purchase Goods from us under a qualifying distance or off-premises contract, you have the statutory right to cancel the Contract without giving any reason.
1.2 The cancellation period will normally expire 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the Goods.
1.3 Where Goods forming part of the same Order are delivered separately, the cancellation period will be calculated in accordance with applicable law.
1.4 To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement before the cancellation period expires.
1.5 The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply to an ordinary purchase made in person at our premises merely because you have changed your mind, unless we expressly agree otherwise.
1.6 Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights.
2. How to Cancel or Request a Return
2.1 Customers with an online account may start a cancellation or return request through their Floor Land account at https://account.floor-land.co.uk.
2.2 If you checked out using a telephone number and do not have access to the online account portal, you may use the order-management link contained in your SMS order confirmation.
2.3 Alternatively, you may notify us by email at sales@floor-land.co.uk, by telephone on 0333 138 1111, or in writing at Floor Land Ltd, The Wharf Industrial Estate, 18 Wharf Street, Warrington, WA1 2HT.
2.4 You do not have to use our online returns process to exercise a statutory cancellation right. Any clear statement informing us of your decision to cancel is sufficient, provided it is made within the applicable cancellation period.
3. Returning Goods Following Cancellation
3.1 Once you have informed us that you are exercising a statutory right to cancel, you must return the Goods without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your decision to cancel.
3.2 We will provide the appropriate return instructions and return address after receiving your cancellation or return request.
3.3 Returned Goods must be appropriately protected for transport and should include all components supplied with them.
3.4 Flooring and long flooring accessories are heavy, bulky and/or unusually shaped and cannot normally be returned safely by ordinary post. Depending on the Goods, a specialist pallet carrier or specialist long-length/tube carrier may therefore be required.
3.5 You may arrange suitable return transport yourself. You are responsible for ensuring that the Goods are adequately packaged and protected for the return journey, subject to your statutory rights.
3.6 Where available, we may offer to arrange return collection on your behalf. The applicable collection charge will be confirmed before the collection is booked.
4. Cost of Returning Unwanted Goods
4.1 Unless the Goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the Contract, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning Goods following a change-of-mind cancellation, where we have informed you of that responsibility as required by law.
4.2 Pallet Returns – Standard UK Delivery Areas. Flooring Orders commonly require return by a specialist pallet network or flooring carrier. Although our standard outbound pallet delivery charge is currently £49.99, and qualifying Orders over £750 may receive free standard outbound delivery, these are our retail outbound delivery charges and do not represent the cost of collecting and returning a pallet to us. For standard UK delivery areas, the estimated cost of returning Goods by pallet is up to £120 per pallet. The actual cost will depend on factors including the collection postcode, pallet dimensions, weight, number of pallets and carrier charges.
4.3 Tube and Long-Length Returns – Standard UK Delivery Areas. Scotia, flooring profiles, skirting boards and other long accessories may require return using a specialist long-length carrier. Although our standard outbound charge for this type of delivery is currently £35, this does not represent the cost of return carriage. For standard UK delivery areas, the estimated cost of returning a tube or other long-length consignment is up to £40 per consignment.
4.4 Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands and Remote Areas. Return carriage from the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands and other areas classified by the relevant carrier as remote, extended or offshore can be substantially more expensive than return carriage from standard UK delivery areas. Depending on the collection location, quantity, dimensions, weight and type of Goods, the estimated cost of specialist return carriage from these areas may be approximately £200 to £450 per consignment. This higher estimated return cost may apply to palletised flooring, long-length products or other Goods requiring specialist transport.
4.5 Northern Ireland. Returns from Northern Ireland may require specialist or extended-area carriage and may incur substantially higher charges than returns from standard mainland UK delivery areas. Depending on the collection location, quantity, dimensions, weight and type of Goods, the estimated cost of return carriage from Northern Ireland may be approximately £200 to £450 per consignment.
4.6 Republic of Ireland and Other International Destinations. The Republic of Ireland is an international destination for the purposes of this Policy. Floor Land does not ordinarily provide or arrange change-of-mind return collection services from the Republic of Ireland or other destinations outside the United Kingdom. Where you have a mandatory legal right to return Goods, nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts that right. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, you are responsible for arranging and paying for suitable international return carriage to the return address provided by us, together with any necessary transport or customs documentation and any direct return costs for which you are legally responsible. International return carriage can be substantially more expensive than UK return carriage, and you should obtain an appropriate return-carriage quotation before arranging the return.
4.7 Return Cost Estimates. The amounts stated in this section are estimates of direct return-carriage costs and are not cancellation, administration or restocking fees. Where we offer to arrange collection on your behalf, we will confirm the actual collection charge applicable to your return before the collection is booked.
4.8 Arranging Your Own Return. You may arrange your own suitable return carrier instead of asking us to arrange collection. Where you arrange your own return, the amount charged by the carrier is a matter between you and that carrier. Flooring must be adequately protected and, where required, securely strapped to a suitable pallet. Scotia, profiles, skirting boards and other long products must be adequately protected in suitable long-length packaging or tubes.
4.9 Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods. The return-cost provisions above apply to change-of-mind returns and do not limit your statutory rights where Goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, misdescribed or otherwise do not conform to the Contract. Where we are legally responsible for the cost of returning Goods, we will arrange an appropriate return method or reimburse reasonable return costs as required by law.
5. Condition of Returned Goods
5.1 You may inspect Goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way as you would reasonably be able to examine them in a shop.
5.2 For flooring products, we recommend inspecting the product and, where appropriate, opening only the number of packs reasonably necessary to establish its appearance and characteristics before opening additional packs.
5.3 If your handling of the Goods goes beyond what is reasonably necessary and causes a reduction in their value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund to reflect that diminished value where permitted by law.
5.4 Goods should be securely repackaged and protected to prevent avoidable damage during return transport.
5.5 Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming Goods.
6. Refunds Following Statutory Cancellation
6.1 Where you validly cancel the whole of a qualifying distance or off-premises Contract within the statutory cancellation period, we will refund the sums required by law.
6.2 This will ordinarily include the price paid for the cancelled Goods and, where you paid for delivery, the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option.
6.3 If you selected an enhanced or more expensive outbound delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional amount paid above the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
6.4 If your Order qualified for free standard outbound delivery and no separate delivery charge was paid by you, there is no outbound delivery payment to refund.
6.5 Your responsibility for the direct cost of returning unwanted Goods under section 4 is separate from the refund of any qualifying standard outbound delivery charge.
6.6 Where we have not offered to collect the Goods, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the Goods back or you provide evidence that the Goods have been returned, whichever occurs first.
6.7 Refunds will be made without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law, normally no later than 14 days after the applicable event referred to in clause 6.6.
6.8 Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
7. Cancellation Before Dispatch
7.1 If you wish to cancel an Order before dispatch, please contact us as soon as possible.
7.2 Where the Contract is cancellable and the Goods have not been dispatched, we will normally cancel the Order and issue the refund due without requiring the Goods to be returned.
7.3 If the Goods have already been dispatched, the applicable statutory cancellation and return provisions in this Policy will apply.
7.4 This section does not create a cancellation right for Goods or Contracts which are lawfully exempt from cancellation.
8. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods
8.1 We are under a legal duty to supply Goods which conform to the Contract.
8.2 Consumers have statutory rights where Goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to conform to the Contract. These rights are separate from the 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.
8.3 You should inspect the Goods as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.
8.4 If visible transit damage exists, please record the damage on the carrier's delivery documentation where possible, take clear photographs and notify us as soon as reasonably possible. We ask that visible transit damage is reported within 48 hours where possible so that we can investigate promptly with the carrier.
8.5 Failure to notify us within 48 hours does not remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have.
8.6 If Goods appear defective, incorrect or damaged before installation, you should not knowingly install them. Please contact us before proceeding.
8.7 If an apparent defect becomes evident during installation, installation should stop where reasonably practicable and you should contact us.
8.8 Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, an appropriate remedy may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
8.9 Where a Consumer validly exercises a statutory right to reject faulty Goods, we will bear the reasonable cost of returning or collecting those Goods where required by law.
9. Goods Excluded From the Statutory Right to Cancel
9.1 The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply where an exemption prescribed by law applies.
9.2 This may include Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and Goods which, after delivery, become inseparably mixed with other items.
9.3 The fact that a standard flooring product or accessory is ordered by Floor Land from a manufacturer or distributor specifically to fulfil your Order does not, by itself, make that product bespoke, personalised or exempt from the statutory cancellation right.
9.4 Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where Goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise do not conform to the Contract.
10. Excess or Leftover Flooring
10.1 The statutory cancellation right does not create a general right to return individual packs left unused after an installation has been completed.
10.2 Except where a statutory right applies, we are not obliged to accept excess or surplus flooring or accessories.
10.3 Where we agree to accept excess Goods as a discretionary goodwill return, we may require the Goods to be unopened, undamaged, complete, current stock and capable of resale.
10.4 A discretionary return may be subject to reasonable collection, transport or other agreed costs. Any such conditions will be communicated before the discretionary return is accepted.
11. Inspection Before Installation
11.1 Customers should check all flooring and accessories before installation and, where appropriate, during installation.
11.2 You should check the product name and reference, colour, quantity, batch information, visible condition and any apparent manufacturing defect.
11.3 Goods which are visibly incorrect, damaged or apparently defective should not knowingly be installed without first contacting us.
11.4 If an apparent problem becomes evident during installation, installation should stop where reasonably practicable and you should contact us before continuing.
11.5 Nothing in this section affects rights in relation to a defect which could not reasonably have been identified before installation, nor does installation remove statutory rights which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
12. Manufacturer Warranties
12.1 Many products supplied by Floor Land Ltd are also covered by a manufacturer's warranty.
12.2 Manufacturer warranties are additional to, and do not replace or reduce, statutory rights against Floor Land Ltd where those rights apply.
12.3 A manufacturer may reasonably require information or inspection in connection with a warranty claim, including photographs, batch details, installation information, subfloor information or access to inspect the product.
12.4 Warranty periods, exclusions and installation requirements vary by manufacturer and product.
13. Business Customers
13.1 The statutory consumer cancellation rights described in this Policy apply to Consumers and do not apply to purchases made wholly or mainly for business purposes.
13.2 Returns by Business Customers are governed by the applicable Contract and our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
13.3 Where we agree to accept a non-faulty business return as a discretionary matter, we may impose reasonable conditions including return transport, collection or restocking charges.
